editing blog

Today I started o edit with my group members first I had Monzur start to edit in the title start. Monzur is our main editor because he has the most experience doing this . He is a very great
editor so he is going to be vital in editing our film. But he us it the only one that edited Me and Juan started to work together on editing. Me and Juan started getting lessons from Monzur on editing because me and Juan were completely lost on it. The reason that he was doing this was because he wanted to not have to do all of it by himself. The reason that he was teaching me some things is because in some of my old groups they had showed me a certain way to do it. Which then Monzur saw me doing and he was like you are doing this completely wrong. So he took the time to explain it to us in joe to do ti in a way better and more efficient way. This took us about an hour and half because after he reached us for about 15 minutes. He then asked us if we could actually do some more and off we did. Then me and Juan played watched YouTube in the living room on Monzur’s tv While he was editing. Then, Keith arrived which certainly was great because he is our second best editor and then him and monzur got the last bit of the editing done. After that we all ate some food because we are friends after all so we just hanged out. After we hung out and played some videos games. We then went to go play some basketball. Which then we finally went home.

Editing blog

Today, hopefully, is the last day of editing for me. I went to Monzur's residence to continue working on the project with him. Because it was filmed on a different device, the first thing I did when I arrived was to download all the clips to my computer. The downloading process was quick, but locating the proper video took a little longer because there were so many different shots to look at. I erased the other clips after finding the proper ones and started the first section of the opening scene. I inserted the remaining clips and placed them in the correct order after opening the first portion. After placing the clips in the proper order, Monzur and I had to double-check that they were all turned down.

the sound effects for the clips that need them the reason for this is that my group and I shot outside, and the wind made it sound terrible. Monzur determined that we needed to select a new soundtrack for our opening scene because he disliked the one, we had before. Monzur and I concluded that we should both look for a soundtrack for the opening segment. Monzur discovered a soundtrack that he and I both believed went nicely with our genre after some exploring. All we had to do now was check to see if it was royalty free. After some research, we discovered that it was, in fact, royalty free, which made it the ideal soundtrack for our film. After a while, we settled on MAJKL studio as our film's producer. We started filling in the credits one by one after figuring out the studio when we came into another issue. We had already resolved to choose a new movie title because we disliked the previous one, but we had yet to come up with one. That's when I came up with the name Nightmare, which Monzur liked, so we decided to keep it once we finished the editing and added the final titles. We looked over it after we finished the editing and felt it looked amazing, so I packed up and returned home because the editing was finally finished. Film review production

I showed my video to one of my friends in A level AICE Media Studies. He looked over it a couple times to critique it. He said what we have so far is good. What we were missing though is the music to accompany the film. He said when we enter the music, it would add that sense of realism and add to the theme of being a thriller. He likes how in the film it is like other post-apocalyptic movies and gives the sense of a thriller. One scene he said is a little messy, the scene where the main actor gets attacked by a zombie from around the corner. He gave some feedback on how we can better this scene, being that we could have multiple camera angles of this attack and edit them together so it would capture the scene smoother. This could be another camera on the other side of the action so there could be multiple viewpoints. Other than that, he told me that music would help bring it all together and it looks good to him.

Filming blog

Today, we filmed It was great we first took a scene of teh zombie or Juan coming at the main character or monzur . Then we did a scene of Monzur the supposed last man on earth getting attacked by the zombie. The zombie come from on direction and latches on Mozur trying to get a scratch or to get a bite on him. After a couple seconds of this … I finally come in too save the day. I see him latched on to Monzur and so as the other survivor which  was me came to save the day. I come and tackle him . Then I start to beat the zombie in teh head with the  flashlight that was on the floor. After this I continue to beat him with it until the next scene until death. Once he dies Monzur tries to question if I am a zombie or a Human. After this I say that I am a friendly and I am not gonna hurt him. Then we conversaste about how I am friendly. Then We Talk about how it is crazy that we found another survivor. We reviewed  our video to make some final touches. Since we finally had all of our filming done. Which we were so excited and happy. We went to eat at a restaurant on Mozur The food was great. When we were done we the food we went play video games. After we went to play basketball a en play 2v2 to end off

More filming

We decided that the story and filming were not that fantastic after analyzing the footage from the last filming session. Instead, I decided to re-shoot a few sequences and create a few new ones. I began by discussing some story ideas with the actor, and we agreed to have a flashback to an emergency broadcast, followed by the actor waking up to an alarm clock a few weeks after the apocalypse. Monzur and Juan were seated on a couch watching TV and conversing when an emergence broadcast appeared on the television. Next, I shot a close-up of Monzur's eyes while he was asleep, set an alarm clock, and had him jolt up.His eyes opened, then the alarm clock was turned off. Then I realize that my supplies are running low. I then recorded him packing a bag for a supply run. Then it's up to you. Monzur was lacing his shoes in preparation for his supply run, and I got a close-up image of him doing so. I climbed onto his roof for the following photo. I recorded him strolling down the street from his driveway. I sat down and took a closer look at Monzur's legs and feet as he walked along the sidewalk. I talked about how to do the following shot with Juan as a zombie hiding around a corner with my group. I came up with the idea of recording an over-the-shoulder view of Juan standing aimlessly, and when the unsuspecting Monzur saw it, he thought it was a good idea.in view Juan the zombie is alerted and attacks Monzur. I followed behind Juan while he ran towards Monzur and attacks him. This was a difficult scene to film as I had to sometimes stop and wait for there to be no traffic and because

of the acting. This scene was shot many, many times. I even moved locations, such as across the street (with the actors) to get a different perspective on this scene. After what felt like 30 shots ofthis scene. My group and I decided that we should be ok in having the right shot and we wrapped upfilming. Within those many different shots of this scene, there is surely I that is ok to put in the film. If none of the shots were good, I planned to meet up with my group on Sunday to finish and to tweakwhat we have so far.
